Winter Wonderland

February 21, 2007

Hi Everyone,
As I sit here in my office, gazing out the window I see
lots of snow, actually more snow than we have had in a long
time. The sun shinning upon it makes the individual flakes
sparkle as if they were a slue of diamonds upon soft white
velvet. It is amazing that each snow flake has its own
intricate design. But isn't that how God makes everything!
The trees with their bare branches reaching upward look so
majestic against the blue sky. Way up in the tops I see
nests, that the squirrels or birds have built. I see the
feeder filled with sweet little tiny finches in colors of
brown, white, black and yellow. Some are more patient than
others as they sit and wait their turn. The cardinals are
purched amoung the branches, with their red color so
beautiful against the white snow.
As I look upon this winter wonderland I thank God for the
beauty He has given us and for His awesome love and care of
all His creation, large or small, and the wonder of it all
is that in His infinite wisdom the amount of snow we have
through out the winter months is just the right amount to
refill the lakes and rivers and water His vast garden to
make the cycle begin again. He always know just what we
need and just when we need it.
From now on I will look at this time of year here as a time
not to grumble about the cold or the slippery driving
conditions, but to reflect on the beauty of God's winter
wonderland and just enjoy all he has given us. No part of
God's creation is to be worshiped though, for the entire
creation is the work of the creator God himself, and he
only is to be worshiped.
That is all for this time.
Please feel free to comment, or tell us how you see this
time of year in your home town.
